CROCODILE EYES

Directed by Ingrid Veninger

75 min | Experimental | World Premiere

With her 8th feature, filmmaker Ingrid Veninger ventures to capture 100 real moments. But what makes a moment truly real? In "Crocodile Eyes," Canada’s "DIY queen of indie filmmaking" presents a collection of raw, unfiltered vignettes that delve into the heart of human intimacy. This profoundly personal and immersive work serves a dual purpose: it offers a contemplative journey through the rhythms of life and simultaneously explores the process of filmmaking, guided by intuition.

"Crocodile Eyes" weaves a rich tapestry of filmmaker Ingrid Veninger and her family, spanning four generations. From birth to death and the experiences in between, this film captures the poignant moments that define the human condition.
Content Warning: There is real death and real birth in this film.

TINA, WHEN WILL YOU MARRY?🇨🇦

8 min | Documentary | Ontario Premiere
ONTARIO

It’s present day, and we meet Tina, a 30-year-old first-generation Nigerian-Canadian filmmaker living in Toronto. At thirty years old, the pressure to get married is more intense than it’s ever been, and she is adamant about carving her own path while silencing outside voices that try to dictate what her life should look like. Next we meet Yemi, Eniola, and Titi, and explore their unconventional thoughts and experiences regarding marriage. This documentary touches on a much broader conversation about ‘Tradition vs. Modernity’, bridges the gap between the generations that advocate for either, and encourages a culture of accommodation and inclusivity.
